Dr. Herbert Weissbach NAS NAI AAM (born 16 March 1932) is an American biochemist/molecular biologist. He was born in the Bronx, New York City, where he spent his childhood. He is one of 3 children, having a younger sister Carol and an older brother Arthur, also a biochemist.
Herbert Weißbach (12 November 1901 – 13 October 1995) was a German actor, cabaret artist, and voice actor. Born in Bernburg , he appeared in more than 240 films and television shows between 1935 and 1994.

Herbert Weissbach was born on March 16, 1932, in New York City. After graduating from the City College of New York in 1953 he joined Sid Udenfriend’s laboratory in the National Heart Institute at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, and began graduate studies in the Department of Biochemistry at George Washington University.
