She debuted on the stage in 1985, playing Irina in Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, directed by Maciej Englert at Warsaw's Współczesny Theatre. Two years later, she played Hella in an adaption of Bulgakhov's The Master and Margarita, also directed by Englert. She started working in film early on.
