Mar 8, 2023 · Director Min Yong-geun, of South Korean movie “SoulMate” participated in an interview regarding the movie at a studio set behind the popup store of the movie on Wednesday, and addressed “I started off the production with that moment imbedded into my mind.”
Soulmate (Korean: 소울메이트) is a 2023 South Korean romantic drama film directed by Min Yong-geun starring Kim Da-mi, Jeon So-nee and Byeon Woo-seok.
Biography. Born in 1976, graduate Hanyang University, Cinema major. Was invited to Pusan International Film Festival Wide Angle section in 1996 with his first short film “Weekend”. Later directed short film “Mom, I’m Sorry” (1997), “Spring” (1998), and was in charge of making film for "Wanee and Junah" (2001, Director KIM Yong-gyoon).
Director Min Yong-keun gradually brings in the melodrama, although like the portraitist at the film’s centre, he also knows how to trick and manipulate the viewer, concealing as much as he reveals in the shadows of an otherwise sunny picture.
