  1. John Gavin Scott LVO (18 June 1956 – 12 August 2015) was an English organist and choirmaster who reached the highest levels of his profession on both sides of the Atlantic. He directed the Choir of St Paul's Cathedral in London from 1990 to 2004.

As a boy he was a chorister at Wakefield Cathedral, and then in the mid-1970s held the position of Organ Scholar at St John’s College Cambridge.
