Rafi Bukai (1957-2003) was a film director and producer who was primarily active in Israel during the 1980s and nineties. Whilst getting his degree at Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television Studies, Bukai began developing his original graduation project that would later become his debut, feature-length film, Avanti Popolo.
