Chashme Buddoor ( transl. Far be the evil eye) is a 1981 Indian romantic comedy - buddy film directed by Sai Paranjape and produced by Gul Anand and his sister Jayshree Anand–Makhija. The film stars Farooq Sheikh, Deepti Naval, Rakesh Bedi, Ravi Baswani and Leela Mishra in lead roles.
Her grandfather Parananand was a pioneering distributor while her uncle Gul Anand and her mother Jayshree are producers known for Chashme Buddoor, Jalwa, Khatta Meetha and Hero Hiralal. Makhija has appeared in two movies directed by Shona Urvashi, Chupke Se and Saas Bahu Aur Sensex.
