Calvo's early filmmaking and screenwriting efforts gained the praise and support of Oscar-nominated producers Howard and Karen Baldwin, and Grammy-winning musician Michael Bolton.

Dec 27, 2019 · ———— A.D. Calvo premiered The Missing Girl at the 40th annual Toronto International Film Festival. In 2016, he returned to his horror roots with Sweet, Sweet Lonely Girl. After premiering at Fantastic Fest it was picked up by Shudder. Calvo is currently collaborating with Mike S. Ryan on a follow-up to that.
