Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park is a park on the east side of the Mississippi River in East St. Louis, Illinois, directly across from the Gateway Arch and the city of St. Louis, Missouri. For 29 years, its major feature was the Gateway Geyser, a fountain that lifted water up to 630 feet (192 m), the same height as the Arch.
A park dedicated to Malcolm Martin, a St. Louis lawyer and philanthropist who worked to extend the Gateway Arch National Park to Illinois. The park features the Mississippi River Overlook, a 40-foot structure with stunning views of the arch and the city skyline.

VPVS develops and uses SIV and SIV/HIV chimeric viruses (SHIVs) as surrogates of HIV-1 to investigate virus-induced immunopathogenesis and to develop effective prophylactic vaccines in nonhuman primate models.

As the nation’s most visible proponent of Black Nationalism, Malcolm X’s challenge to the multiracial, nonviolent approach of Martin Luther King, Jr., helped set the tone for the ideological and tactical conflicts that took place within the black freedom struggle of the 1960s.

Malcolm W. Martin (1912 - 2014) was born in St. Louis in 1912. He graduated from Yale University in 1933 and St. Louis City College of Law in 1941, the same year in which he co-founded Martin, Peper, and Martin with his father and Chris Peper. Shortly after founding the firm, the United States entered World War II.
