Ranjan started his career in 2011 at the age of twenty-seven with the film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He has directed and written the Bollywood films Akaash Vani (2013), Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018).
Producer
In 2012, he became a producer and opened a company, Luv Film with his friend Ankur Garg. He has produced the Bollywood films Life Sahi Hai (2016), Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), De De Pyaar De (2019), Jai Mummy Di (2020), and Malang (2020).
In October 2018, an actress from the film Pyaar Ka Punchnamma accused Ranjan of sexual harassment against her.
