Hallvard Bræin is cinematographer and director. He is best known for his work as a cinematographer on the features Trollhunter (2010), The Giant (2005), and Bart Got a Room (2008). Most recently, he’s better known for directing the Burnout films, and Gold Run (2022).
One of the most enduring franchises in contemporary Norwegian film history is Burning, directed by Hallvard Bræin. The franchise about the character Roy (played by Anders Baasmo Christiansen) who gets involved in illegal car races has since the first film’s premiere proved to be box office gold.
