    Fitzgerald Thomas "Jerry" Grant IV was President Fitzgerald Grant & President Mellie Grant's eldest son and Karen Grant & Teddy Grant's brother.

    The character of Jerry Grant, Jr. (IV) was a supporting character who made his first debut appearance in the last half of the third season but after his death he was only mentioned ("referred to") in Season Four. Prior to his on screen appearances he was "mentioned" a few times in Season Two and a few in Season Three.

    Biography

    Jerry was born sometime after his father became governor of California, and is named after his grandfather. Despite wanting children, his existence was a source of pain for his mother as she was secretly raped by her father-law and unsure of Jerry's paternity. Along with his sister Karen, he attended Boarding school away D.C.

    Interview

    Jerry came to the White House with Karen to do a family interview. During his stay, it was revealed that he was secretly tweeting against his father under an anonymous name and was planning on wearing a Reston campaign shirt for the interview.

    Death

    On the night before Election Day, Jerry is suffers a massive seizure while standing behind his father during a speech. Olivia Pope later informs the press outside a hospital that Jerry has died from Bacterial Meningitis. While still at the hospital, Tom Larsen tells Fitz that a substring of the meningitis bacteria was stolen from a lab just a few days earlier; meaning that Jerry was actually murdered. Rowan also convinces Fitz that Maya Lewis is responsible. It's later revealed though that Tom was the one who poisoned Jerry under Rowan's orders as part of a plan to get Olivia to leave Fitz and re-establish B6-13. It was also confirmed through a DNA test done by Olivia's team that Fitz was in fact Jerry's biological father.
