Brendan Foley is a Northern Irish writer, film producer and director. Raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he has written feature film and TV series scripts for producers and studios in UK, Hollywood, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Poland, South Africa and Thailand.
During the 2000s, Brendan’s feature films as writer, producer and director include multi-festival winning action drama Johnny Was (Sony), thriller The Riddle (Image Entertainment / Mail on Sunday, 2.6 million DVDs), and TV movie Legend of the Bog (Lionsgate).
Brendan Foley is a Northern Irish writer / EP with international experience across TV drama, feature films and books. Feb 24, 2024 · The filming of The CW’s mystery thriller series ‘Sherlock & Daughter’ is set to begin in Dublin and Wicklow, Ireland, next month. The show, based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s eponymous sleuth, is created by Brendan Foley, with James Duff serving as the showrunner.
