Jan de Bont (Dutch: [ˈjɑn də ˈbɔnt]; born 22 October 1943) is a Dutch retired cinematographer, director and film producer. He is best known for directing the films Speed (1994) and Twister (1996).
Jan de Bont is a Dutch-born filmmaker who has worked as a cinematographer, producer and director on various movies, including Speed, Twister and Minority Report. He was born in 1943 and has been married twice, and was once scalped by a lion on the set of Roar.
