Nitin Bose (26 April 1897 – 14 April 1986) was an Indian film director, cinematographer and screenwriter of the nation's film industry. He was born in Calcutta and died in the same city. In the 1930s and early 40s, he worked with New Theatres, who made bilingual movies: in both Bengali and Hindi.

Nitin Bose was one of the earliest director, cinematographer and screenwriter of Indian cinema. He was one of the leading names of both Hindi as well as Bengali cinema. During the decades of 1930’s and 1940’s, he worked for New Theatres, which produced bilingual films in both Hindi and Bengali.
One of the most influential director-cinematographers in early Indian cinema, Nitin Bose was born in pre-independence Calcutta to Hemendra Mohan Bose. His father was the owner of Kuntain Press and Talking Machine Hall (distributor of Pathephone recording systems).
