Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee ( pronounced [obʱidʒit bɛnardʒi]; born 21 February 1961) [1] [2] is an Indian-born American economist who is currently the Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
