Rituparno Ghosh (31 August 1963 – 30 May 2013) was an Indian film director, actor, writer and lyricist. After pursuing a degree in economics, he started his career as a creative artist at an advertising agency.
Rituparno Ghosh was a Bengali film director who won 12 National Film Awards and several international awards. He directed films such as Raincoat, The Last Lear, Abohomaan and Chokher Bali, and died in 2013.
