Douglas P. Lackey (born August 22, 1945) is an American philosopher and playwright who is also a professor at Baruch College of the City University of New York. Lackey was born in Staten Island, New York. As a graduate student, he studied under J. N. Findlay at Yale University.

Douglas P. Lackey was a student of J. N. Findlay at Yale, completing his dissertation on the metaphysics of time in 1970. His work editing Russell’s published and unpublished papers in philosophical logic led to the anthology, Essays in Analysis, released by Allen and Unwin in 1973.
