Moctesuma Esparza (born March 12, 1949) is an American producer, entertainment executive, entrepreneur and community activist. He is the chief executive officer of Maya Cinemas, a theater chain servicing to the United States Latino audience.
She later moved on to work at Esparza/Katz Productions, where she eventually became VP of Creative Affairs & Production. She was the Production Executive on the film “Gettysburg” (1992), Teddy Roosevelt and The Roughriders, Cisco Kid (1994), Avenging Angel (1995) and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.
Katz was the founder of Medcom, a medical education company. He executive produced workout home video tapes by Jane Fonda and Arnold Schwarzenegger. With Moctesuma Esparza, he was the co-founder of Esparza/Katz Productions, and they produced films including Gettysburg, Selena, and Gods and Generals.
