Aug 2, 2012 · Bill Scott was born in Philadelphia on Aug. 2, 1920, and was raised in Trenton, N.J., until he was 15 years old. Scott’s machinist father and waitress mother discovered that their son had tuberculosis, and the family moved to the drier climate of Denver, Colo., a relocation that remedied the malady.
