Srila Prabhupada named the deity Madana-Mohana. The significance of this name is that Madana-Mohana was the first deity in Vrindavan worshiped by the followers of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the sixteenth century. Inspired by this Madana-Mohana, a brahmana had given the deity to Sanatana Goswami.
