Yim Pil-sung (born May 13, 1972) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. He wrote and directed Antarctic Journal (2005), Hansel and Gretel (2007), and Scarlet Innocence (2014).
YIM Pil-sung’s primal interest in human desire and the destruction it causes was evident in his early short films and debut feature. He often broke the fantasies of happiness that young hearts often have, and focused on the dark reality of growing pains and rites of passage.
