He is an exchange student from the Leo Institute of Dueling School for the Performing Arts (Broadway campus in the Japanese version) and belongs to the Xyz Summon course.

Dennis has bright curly red hair hanging down to his chin in crumpled spikes, green eyes, and a beauty mark below his right eye. Dennis is described as a well-rounded and charismatic individual with a sense of humor, yet can also be serious at times. As an admirer of Yusho Sakaki he runs a Deck that seems to mirror his and Duels as a Dueltainer, thus he is often flashy and enjoys performing acrobatics. Voice/Mannerisms
In the original Japanese version, Dennis frequently uses English words and phrases in his speech, possibly alluding to his American origin when first introduced. The summon chants for his signature monster, "Performage Trapeze Magician", and its upgrade, both start with the gratuitous English phrase "Show must go on" (「ショウ・マスト・ゴー・オン」).
History
Dennis was sent to the Xyz Dimension prior to Duel Academy's invasion. There he posed as a resident of Heartland City and often gathered large crowds of people while entertaining as a street performer. During one such event, he spotted Lulu Obsidian in the crowd. Dennis made it through the preliminary rounds of the Arc League Championship, getting into the Top 16.
