Russell Shoemaker is the protagonist of Afterworld, an advertising executive from Seattle, Washington. In hope of scoring big by spreading his campaign, he travels to New York City. The next day, he realizes that something is wrong with the world and later finds out about " The Fall ".
The story revolves around the main character Russ who awakens in New York and all technology and most people are gone. It is his journey across the United States to find his family and along the way figure out what happened.
