The snow monkey is a cultural treasure, and within one hour of Nagano city, in the Valley of Yokoyu River, you can watch the wild monkeys bathing in Jigokudani Monkey Park.Visiting between December and March will reward you with those perfect snowy pictures, but the park is well worth a visit any time of year.
