Nalan Kumarasamy is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in the Tamil film industry. He started his career as a short filmmaker and won the title of the first season of Naalaya Iyakunar. He made his feature film debut with Tamil film, Soodhu Kavvum (2013).

Soodhu Kavvum ( transl. Evil Engulfs) is a 2013 Indian Tamil -language black comedy crime film written and directed by Nalan Kumarasamy in his directoral debut. [3] . It features Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, Ramesh Thilak, Karunakaran and Sanchita Shetty in the lead roles. The film was released on 1 May 2013. [4] .
