In theory you can apply for as many as you'd like, but don't make multiple applications for the same job even if it is listed multiple times. They won't necessarily reject you again, but make sure you find out where you went wrong the first time and improve on that. Feel free to ask for feedback if it wasn't too long ago that you heard.

Process -. 1) fill in an application form. 2) friend gives it to manager saying this is off my friend. 3) you get interview. 4) you either do or dont get the job. 5) if you get the job you go to an indutction, get fitted for your uniform, and have training.

Wow, the last time I did one of these roughly 10 years ago it was 1 day induction + driving evaluation on a different day. The induction was all the usual 'this is Tesco' stuff, tells you about the company, about their corporate standards, what the company expects of you, all the obligatory Health & Safety stuff, hazard perception, etc etc yawn ...
