Sumathi Rao (born 5 December 1956) is an Indian theoretical physicist and professor at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Bengaluru, working in the field of condensed matter physics. [1] [2] She is a former member of women in physics promotion of International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) from 2000 to 2008.
I am currently working as an Honorary Professor at the Harish-chandra Research Institute working in the field of condensed matter physics. I expect to move to the International Centre of Theoretical Sciences for a 5 year position as soon as the pandemic allows it!
