Apr 15, 2017 · Connect a PC/laptop to the R6400. It's preferred to use Ethernet to connect to one of the R6400's LAN ports, but you can connect to its Wi-Fi network. Log in using routerlogin.com or 192.168.1.1 (the router's factory IP address) and setup the Wi-Fi network as desired. Decide whether you want to use the same SSID as the Frontier.
Nov 6, 2021 · A couple things. 1. the R6400 doesn't have a repeater/extender mode. 2. In bridge mode, the wifi is used exclusively to go from router----router. If its in bridge mode, you'd need to log into the primary router to get the r6400's ip address. 3. You can hardwire the r6400 in and use it in access point mode.

This is extremely annoying specially since i use this extender to connect my computer and other gaming systems. I need a solution to this problem. Now with that said, i know how this goes.

Jun 29, 2020 · A couple things to keep in mind through. 1. The mesh extenders work great when you're only using 1. if you're needing more than 1, a move to a full mesh system would be better. 2. The isn't a controller for the system like a true mesh system. It relies on your router and device's own roaming function to work in mesh.
