12 hours ago · Former deputy national security adviser (NSA) of India Vikram Misri was on Friday (June 28) named the country's foreign secretary. Misri would succeed Vinay Mohan Kwatra, who was given a six-month extension in March this year. The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal made by the Ministry of External Affairs for appointing Misri as the next foreign secretary. His will begin on July 15 as the extension granted to Kwatra will end on July 14.
