You should use VARBINARY(MAX): Variable-length binary data. n can be a value from 1 through 8,000. max indicates that the maximum storage size is 2^31-1 bytes. The storage size is the actual length of the data entered + 2 bytes. You could also use Image, though it is deprecated. edited Jun 20, 2020 at 9:12.

May 6, 2019 · No, columns are just defined as a CLOB or BLOB. There is no size associated with the column. You can put in something as big or small as you like, with a few restrictions. "Maximum size: (4 GB - 1) * DB_BLOCK_SIZE initialization parameter (8 TB to 128 TB)"..as of 11g of Oracle.
