  1. The Vienna coverage in his chessly e4 course is fantastic from 800 to 2000 or so. It’s well structured, and a great early opening to pick up. Middlegames masterclass is well organized, useful information for analyzing positions. His chessable e4 repertoire is great, probably more targeted at 1500-2200 or so.

  2. Sep 25, 2022 · Chessly is actually so good. I love the drills that have been added, it's actually such a nice improvement over the original courses. I'm so glad that I didn't have to repurchase these either. One thing I will say is maybe put the video before the study, it's a little weird to "study" before learning from the video.

  3. Sep 24, 2022 · Ideally the course old PGNs that feed the Chessly engine need to be split into individual lines that can be trained one at a time without the user needing to choose which branch they want to take. Additionally, overall the opening courses could be made a lot more beginner friendly by following both critical lines and beginner level inaccuracies/mistakes.

  4. Jan 15, 2023 · I am considering buying a Gotham chess “Chessly”course and don’t know if I should. I am sitting at 500 rapid right now I am well aware that I am pretty bad at the game of chess. I have been trying to get better and recently have been considering buying a Gotham course especially as his courses are half off for the remainder of today.

  5. IMHO just get Keep it simple e4 2.0 on Chessable instead. I know people are going to say chessly is for lower rates folks but that's not true. He has as many as 4 chapters, maybe 20 plus lines in the Vienna alone and if you could memories all of that you wouldn't be lower rated in all likelihood.

  7. Jan 17, 2024 · Even if you don't know the lines all the way through, they do a good job of teaching you the ideas so you can make a middle game plan. Most of these courses aren't main main lines so (at least up to my level) you won't play against prepped opponents and you'll usually get a comfortable position. The positions are just easy to play and flow well ...

  8. Apr 9, 2023 · It also has sections for the Trompowski and playing against the Dutch opening, a short section on beating the Englund Gambit, and others. Very useful as a lot of people play the London, but not a lot of people learn the actual lines for the London. Intermediate Chess is a very broad course giving a very basic introduction of openings for both ...

  10. Nov 3, 2023 · Hey there. 4 courses on Chessly sparked my interest: 'Endgame Masterclass', 'Middlegame Masterclass', 'Tactics Masterclass', 'Intermediate Chess'. Now, my question: Besides also covering openings (which I'm not too interested in anyways), does 'Intermediate Chess' add any benefit on top of what I would get from 'Endgame Masterclass' and ...
