Hi, I have a delonghi dragon 3 plug in oil filled radiator which worked fine last year. but the other day i plugged it in to take the chill off the hall way, it got nice and hot as it should then after about 10 minutes it tripped the electricity. So i reset the switch on the consumer unit and tried again and it done the same thing.

Jul 3, 2017 · The "being on longer" might be because the elements are hotter ; but it is odd that ( unlike my parents' heater ) it isn't a continuous tripping effect. If it is the control for the oven (not for the rings) then it would also be a thermostatic control and should turn the heating element on and off when the oven is at operating temperature.

Jun 9, 2012 · A new RCD junction box was also installed. Since then every time I put the cooker on it trips the electricity. The hob and grill work fine. I have contacted the electricians who did the work and they say that even though the cooker worked before the refurbishment it must have a fault in the oven and as such should be replaced.
Mar 5, 2012 · Op when your electrics trip out like that, the easyiest way to try and track down the fault is. From the start. 1) Turn all MCB's and the main switch off. 2) Try turning the RCD main switch back on, if this stays on then turn the mcbs on one by one., until the RCD trips out which could identify a faulty circuit.
