Are the vaporettos covered and operational? We're thinking of visiting Murano and Burano. Will an umbrella suffice for making those trips? Thanks. Reply.

Mestre is the mainland part of Venice and it's train station is called Venezia Mestre. There are two types of water transport in Venice. Water taxis are privately owned speed boats.
