Does anyone watch The Inbetweeners? I was just wondering how old the characters are meant to be? I thought 'in between' meant 16 to 17, since they are 'in between' childhood and adulthood, but aren't they at uni in the TV show?
The Inbetweeners is enjoyable for the cringe value, although it's sometimes slightly baffling-much of the stuff that happens to them seems to be taken from the lives of 13 year olds, not 16 year olds. But there's enough there that I can identify with for it to work.

TBH it depends what sort of circles you hang around in. For a lot of the people I hang around with (and myself), The Inbetweeners is far more accurate, but there ARE people for whom Skins is actually accurate for-something I realised the other night when talking to some relatives (who weren't actually trying to "big up" their lives, they were just telling me about things that had happened and I thought to myself how much like Skins it sounded like, which surprised me).

Fair enough-I kindof like the fact that each episode is essentially watchable as a standalone. I'll be honest, I don't watch the Inbetweeners for the gripping storylines XD although some of the scenes in the Inbetweeners 2 were absolutely CLASSIC and blow bits of the series out of the water... slide scene anyone?
Whats the drinking game in the latest episode of the Inbetweeners, "A trip to Wawrick" Where they all go "Question, Question, Question"..."Zulu!!" Coz I'm familiar with the Zulu drinking game where you watch the film "Zulu" and drink at certain times.
Inbetweeners suffers, more than anything else, from being so overhyped. It's a sitcom in the truest nature of the word - the humour is all in the situations. The characters aren't that realistic, and Jay is incredibly annoying and unfunny, but it is well-enough put together to hold my interest.
