Jun 19, 2011 · The band was now called the Strawberry Alarm Clock. Randy Seol and George Bunnell came aboard, bringing their songs. We were really rolling. Started on our manager’s All American label, but we were now signed to Uni Records, where Russ Regan took the chance on us and almost got fired for doing so.
2012’s “Wake Up Where You Are” was the first new album from the Strawberry Alarm Clock in over 40 years. The album is a mix of new SAC songs and reinterpretations of their psychedelic rock classics. Band members: Mark Weitz, George Bunnell, Randy Seol, Howie Anderson and Gene Gunnels.
Jun 8, 2024 · Wake up, SAC fans! The Strawberry Alarm Clock is set to ring in the new year with a January show at L.A.’s Whisky a Go Go. The Jan. 11, 2025, concert will feature the full band as well as visuals by Robert Jacobs’ Midnight Sun and Andrew Platt with his Stranger Liquids Light Show.
Jun 11, 2011 · Strawberry Alarm Clock in 1969 with Ed King, right. King started out playing bass and then switched to guitar. He formed a songwriting partnership with singer Ronnie Van Zant, which produced “Poison Whisky” on that album and then later “Sweet Home Alabama,” one of the band’s two signature songs.
