Jun 22, 2020 · It no longer shows the space until you start typing the next word. If I am typing and I pause there is usually already a space, but its not shown; if I then resume I think there is no space so I put one in and have 2 spaces. I do this regularly as I'm writing technical reports, so I end up with double spaces right through the document.

However, the pool became very slow and unresponsive. With the physical drive still out of the system, I then tried to use the 'remove' function. This made Storage Spaces unresponsive until I rebooted. I then returned the 4th drive to the system. The pool is visible in file manager and I can open it up, but it is EXTREMELY slow.
Dec 14, 2014 · Whenever I reopen the file, I always find spaces removed between words as shown in the attached screen shot. Each time it appears in different places. This is really serious as it is very difficult for long documents to read the whole document in order to scan such errors especially that most of them are not picked up by the auto-correct option.

If spaces don't appear while typing in Word until you start typing the next word, you may have a "Section Break" at the end of the sentence you're typing. You can confirm it by pressing <ctrl>+<shift>+8 (aka <ctrl>+*), which will display your hidden formatting codes.

I type as usual, with a space after each word, but the space doesn't APPEAR after the word until the next word is typed.

May 6, 2012 · Enter two spaces in the Find what box, and one space in the Replace with box. Click Replace All. If you don't like the result, press Ctrl+Z to undo the replacement.
