Sohanlal was born in Thiruvananthapuramon 14 November 1977 to P K Das and Kamala Das, both school teachers, as the youngest brother of four elder sisters. He attended the SMV High School, Thiruvananthapuram and later did his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Sohanlal also did a Post Graduate Diploma in Web Designing from C-DAC.
