I am very new to the show I just started watching and now at Season 2 Episode 2. I just can’t understand why Shohreh Aghdashloo voice is like she smokes 10 packs of cigarettes a day. No disrespect to the actor she acts quite well but the voice kinda takes me out of the story and the characters moment everytime. Is it something intentional? Is it the same in the books? Thoughts? This season launched on Shohreh Aghdashloo’s birthday—a.k.a. the voice actress for Future War Cult leader Lakshmi-2 I suppose that is a fitting synchronicity given that this season marks her character’s return to the tower and FINALLY giving her a prominent role in the story.
The relationships are transportive in their complexity and FEEL incredibly real. SA's character interpretation of Avasarala is so solid it leaves you aching for that kind if leadership IRL. Additionally - it's damned hard to be an older actress in the entertainment industry and get anything but tropes and scraps.

Jul 15, 2018 · I like the expanse but I think Shohreh Aghdashloo is a horrible actress. Everything in the series is great but every scene she is in seems off. Maybe Im unjustified and someone can talk me into liking her. I'm rewatching Season One so I can marathon Two and Three. I gotta say, I agree with you OP.
Aug 20, 2018 · I’m sorry, I know as soon as I say this, someone’s going to jump out of the dark and chop my head off but, I get very annoyed every time Shohreh Aghdashlo enters the scene. Now, before y’all are like, “Fuuuck you! Down vote.”. Hear me out. In my opinion, I feel like her performance is very wooden. Her expressions hardly changes.
