It does look ridiculous, but chances are the driver of the car probably couldn't care less of your thoughts.

You could try some gentle heat using a hair-dryer and peeling off the sticker, and then afterwards using eucalyptus oil to remove the sticky residue. The paint underneath will look different though so you will probably notice the stripes by the near immaculate paint underneath.
