Aug 25, 2024 · I’ve got a 2002 Gibson les Paul standard that is a fantastic guitar that is probably better than the R9 I used to own. I would like the original sunburst finish on the top of the guitar changed to a dirty lemon/ honey burst. The finish doesn’t have to be high gloss more of a VOS to match the aged nickel hardware.

Each time it broke in a different place, not along the join. *A guy bought it broken from eBay (it had belonged to a big indie band whose name escapes me) to give to his nephew. I think it was a case of easy come, easy go for the kid who absolutely trashed it.

Jan 4, 2018 · Also, from a purely logical stance, if you wanted a vintage P90 Goldtop you could just go and buy one with some planning and diligence, while for the vast majority a real PAF Les Paul is way out of budget, and as my all guitars are thoroughly ‘pre buggered’, any sadness should be reserved for that initial trauma rather than my resurrection decades later :-)
