  1. Hello Mannix fans and hopefully trivia knowledgable puffs, Does any one know where and what specific location (industrial plant?) was used for Mannix riding up the conveyor from season #1 and shown on the opening and closing credits for several of the seasons? Also, does anyone know where the...

  2. Sep 20, 2007 · Mannix, however, was shown pre-edited on tape with an extra commercial break built in. Oddly enough, all the gridwork bumpers were removed. I don't recall if national commercials were included with the episodes (barter syndication), but this may be another reason why a limited number of episodes were made available (130/194).

  3. Nov 28, 2012 · All good things must come to an end, and that was certainly the case with the eighth and final season of CBS’ Mannix. And for poor Joe Mannix, the end couldn’t have come too soon as the L.A.-based private detective takes quite a beating during this last season on the air including being knocked unconscious twice in the final episode alone.

  4. Sep 20, 2007 · Then the camera switches to a shot of Mannix in his car, and we can still see Lee Meriwether mirrored in the chrome of Mannix's mirror, distorted but recognizable. There are other interesting shots too like approaching the motel through Mannix's windshield, the sun filtering through the trees in the park while children played below in the shadows, and the way Roley integrated the backstory tales into the main action.

  5. Sep 20, 2007 · And Roley treats us as usual to his trademark impossible views through walls, insane close-ups, and upside-down shots: the scene in the hospital from behind a bed to get a view of the entire room/ward, the view of Mannix's office from behind his furniture with the archer on it, the insane close-up of the creep in Mannix's office - all Roley touches.

  6. Sep 20, 2007 · The "Mannix Bridge" is the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim bridge -- go look for it on google earth. It still, for the moment, looks pretty much as it did for the opening credits. But I understand they plan major rennovations.

  7. Sep 4, 2024 · S. 4 Ep. 20 - A Day Filled With Shadows Joe Mannix is hired by a secretive businessman named Alton K. Moore, who wants Mannix to look for his son Cal, a college basketball player who has been missing for several days. Although the case takes Mannix back to his alma mater, he has his doubts about Moore, who insists on meeting in remote places ...

  8. Sep 20, 2007 · My favorite episodes for the first season include The Name is Mannix (which I already talked about), Skid Marks on a Dry Run (an ominous story about organized crime trying to put in one of their own as governor), The Many Deaths of St. Christopher (Mannix/Mike Connors rides a conveyor belt high up in a cement factory to get Nazis!), Huntdown (an almost Twilight-Zone mixed with High Noon episode that includes Mannix battling bulldozers with a wounded leg), Coffin for a Clown (Featuring Diana ...

  9. Nov 16, 2023 · In the season two Mannix episode "Merry-Go-Round for Murder," does anyone know the location used for Ruth McDevitt's house? I love the old LA houses that turn up in TV shows and movies. IMDb doesn't list a location for this one.

  10. Sep 20, 2007 · Mannix finds that many of the "carny" workers are uncooperative because they deem his presence to be bad luck. And the "accidents" continue, even with Mannix on the scene. Bethel Leslie (The Doctors), Michael Conrad (Hill St. Blues), Pamela Bellwood (Dynasty), Barbara Rhoades (Shakiest Gun In The West), Gordon Jump (WKRP in Cincinatti), Ward Wood Supporting appearance from Lt. Malcolm.
