May 4, 2022 · If Julie Kavner is hands-off, that explains a lot on to why the writers devolved Marge's character. A lot of times, the actors are the ones who help develop the character. Compare it to Family Guy where while Lois and Meg got exaggerated, they still have plenty of spotlight episodes that can flesh them out. by Anonymous.

They never saw anything like it. The older you get the dryer your vocal cords become. Julie mustn’t be able to do the higher voice that is required to do Marge.
Mar 14, 2024 · March 14, 2024 3:57 PM. The show has been a shadow of its former self for most of this millennium. Julie Kavner still sounds like Marge - just much, much older. Marge is still supposed to be in her thirties, and Julie is in her seventies. That's the problem with a cartoon running for so long - the characters are ageless, but the actors aren't.

In that sense she didn't lose. Had Tracey not done the show there wouldn't have been a platform for The Simpsons.
Feb 6, 2022 · By the time the spinoff series launched a few years later, Debbie was gone and replaced by Brenda, a schlubby underdog played by Julie Kavner. Critics then and now say Rhoda the show was fatally flawed because its premise made Rhoda boring—it married her off to a dull (but hot) guy and gave the schlubby younger sister all the good old Rhoda lines and situations.

Then the original TV show Christine was Meg Foster, who after a few episodes was replaced by Gless (apparently Foster either was too similar to Daly or read as too butch onscreen, depending on who you ask). by Anonymous.
