Dec 11, 2019 · Attitude of lecturers. Yes, they do vary, but >90% of lecturers are fine and probably >50% are great! Gaps in knowledge. Admittedly, JCU is more hands-on and we do lack some theory knowledge, but years 5 and 6 are supposed to be self-directed learning based on what you’re having to do as part of your rotations.
Nov 30, 2015 · There are a few topics where you would probably do poorly if you went against them (think: Gay Marriage/rights, sexual harassment in the workplace etc.) and for the most part JCU tends to have young-ish interviewers or "foward-thinking" interviewers - i.e. as a university and as academics the interview panel tends to have and tends to expect a "Left Wing" view.

JCU wants to get to know you as a person and determine that your traits are suitable for a career in medicine (as well as, of course, that you have a passion for rural/indigenous/tropical health).
