May 28, 2023 · Insomniac seems content to release really excellent games without needing to redefine the genre every time. And that's great! Don't get me wrong, I love my genre-defining titles from the Naughty Dogs and the Rockstars and the CDPRs of the world, but it's great to have studios like Insomniac putting out high-quality titles at a good pace as well.

Everything they worked on with other publishers was more or less a financial disaster. The Oculus games, Song of the Deep, Fuse and Sunset Overdrive were all cost more money than they made back. Often significantly so.
