This thread made me cry very unexpectedly, especially the story about the topaz ring. It demonstrates that he had a beautiful heart. Plus, he was a cute 1 year-old! Rest in peace, Richard.

A fan who had rubella hugged Gene when she was pregnant with Daria which accounted for the baby's severe retardation when she was born. Gene Nelson and Donald O'Connor were equally fine dancers as Kelly, though the first two were probably even more athletic, with Nelson's gymnast skills and O'Connor jumps of the walls in "Singin' in the Rain". The title number in that film, while iconic for Kelly, isn't that difficult dance-wise.

That video for The RKO Story episode seems out of synch. “Woman on the Run,” (1950, dir Norman Foster) with the wonderful and woefully underrated Ann Sheridan and noir mainstay Dennis O’Keefe. Great plot twists and a dizzying ending at an atmospheric California boardwalk.
