Franklin College has been a leader in liberal arts education since it was founded in 1834. Then, in 1842, Franklin became the first college in Indiana to become coeducational with the admission of women, and that spirit of inclusiveness still characterizes the college today.

Students who choose to study mathematics at Franklin College can pursue one of five majors — Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Pure Mathematics or Quantitative Analysis. Minors are offered in Mathematics, Quantitative Methods and Data Science.
The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is a 25-month, 111 credit full-time course of study. The curriculum is divided into a 12-month didactic phase, a 12-month clinical phase, and a 1-month capstone phase. The program begins a new cohort of students in January each year.
