Jun 9, 2020 · 3. Aircraft piston engines require fuel priming or fuel enrichment only when cold. This is true for ALL piston engines. Fuel enrichment is needed because the cold temperature does not allow the fuel to properly atomize/vaporize in the air-fuel mixture and may actually condense back into raw fuel on the cold interior surfaces of the engine.

The overall purpose of ATFCM is to prevent overload and ensure that capacity is utilised to the maximum extent possible and subsequently to ensure ...
Apr 1, 2015 · The converging shape of the venturi causes that air to speed up. the same volume of air passes through the narrow venturi, as flows through the large manifold. As per bernoullis theorem, velocity, pressure and density are all interchangeable. the same density or mass of air flowing through a smaller duct has higher velocity, therefore lower pressure.
Feb 1, 2018 · To answer the OP's question, "CC" and/or "Charlie Charlie" mean absolutely nothing in air traffic control. In my 30+ years in ATC, I never heard, nor heard of, someone responding to a clearance with that verbiage. If I did, I would repeat the clearance because I had not received a valid read back.
Oct 17, 2017 · The temperature will drop around 2° Celsius (-1.98 to be more precise) for each 1000 feet you climb. So if the OAT at 6000ft is -13°C, at 7000ft it will be -15°C, or minus 16 from the International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) which should be +1°C (15 - 2*7 = 1). Share. Sep 24, 2016 · An older aircraft (registered before 31 December 1948) may have a second letter in its identifier, identifying the category of aircraft. The media between the emitter and the target needs to allow the waves to travel, and while the best media is vacuum, air is not terrible either. At least normal, ISA air, things get complicated in the high atmosphere, or at high temperatures, or when electromagnetic fields (caused by thunderstorms, the Earth's core, etc.) come into play.
