May 1, 2023 · Undergraduate and graduate admissions are accepted for start in April and in October. Undergraduate information is usually available roughly nine months in advance and applications are usually submitted roughly four months in advance. The dates for graduate admissions vary widely.
UTokyo has a total of 10 Faculties, all of which offer undergraduate programs. A key feature of the undergraduate education is that the first 2 years (referred to as the Junior Division) are devoted to the study of liberal arts and the acquisition of fundamental skills necessary for further study.
