Jun 4, 2024 · Former Andhra Pradesh CM Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy has lost Lok Sabha elections from Rajampet to YSRCP's PV Midhun Reddy. The BJP leader lost to the two-time MP by over 76,000 votes. Kiran Kumar Reddy is a former Congress leader who led undivided state of Andhra Pradesh until its division in 2014 and made his Lok Sabha debut this year.

May 10, 2024 · Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy assumed office after the tragic death of Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy in a helicopter crash in 2019. Later, he established the Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) ahead of the 2014 general elections. However, he refrained from participating in the elections, and JSP failed to secure any seats as the electoral competition mainly centered around the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in the newly formed state.
