Later, he established the Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) ahead of the 2014 general elections. However, he refrained from participating in the elections, and JSP failed to secure any seats as the electoral competition mainly centered around the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in the newly formed state.
