Raja Mehdi Ali Khan was the first lyricist to introduce 'Aap' in film songs. 'Aap ki nazron….' (Anpadh), 'Aap kyon roye' (Woh Kaun Thi), 'Aap ne apna banaya' (Dulhan Ek Raat Ki) are some examples.
